Chemical definition: Capsanthin (CAS No.: 465-42-9) is a fat-soluble carotenoid, the main active ingredients are capsanthin and capsorubin, molecular formula C₄₀H₅₆O₃.

Appearance: Dark red oily liquid or powder (10-100 mesh), easily soluble in oils and propylene glycol, slightly soluble in ethanol
