What is Diindolylmethane(DIM)?
Diindolylmethane (DIM) is an organic compound. Appearance: DIM is a colorless crystalline powdery solid. Solubility: DIM is soluble in organic solvents such as alcohol, chloroform, and carbon disulfide, and almost insoluble in water. Organic synthesis: DIM is also used in a variety of synthesis steps in organic synthesis reactions, such as catalysts or ligands in the process. There are several ways to prepare DIM, and a common method is through a condensation reaction formed by stilbene and indole under acidic conditions.
